Paul told the Corinthian Christians that he was going to preach nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The work of Christ on the Cross is not just the means by which we are saved; it is the only means by which we can grow as a Christian. The Cross gives us our identity, our purpose, our baptism, our life. Rest your case at the Cross.

These are five of my eight children singing "Preach the Word". The song emphasizes the unique ministry of the Apostle Paul and his instruction to Timothy as to how to respond to the departure of the church from the gospel of the grace of God and the revelation of the mystery (Rom. 16:25-27)

My sons and daughter singing "Little is Much if God is in it". There are indeed few Christians who take serious God's command to "rightly divide the word of truth" (II Tim. 2:15). This is true in part because the church is led by "blind guides" just as in Jesus day and therefore Christians are "blind by omission" (see my study on Titus 1).

Grace Assembly

On the first Sunday of each month grace believers in the Southwest Georgia area assemble for a time of edification in the Word of God, a shared meal and fellowship. We refer to this gathering of the church in our locality as a celebration of the Lord’s Supper as set forth in I Cor. 12. These gatherings are not called for the purpose of having church or building a church in the traditional sense of the word. We gather periodically for three reasons: 1. To remind ourselves that believers are the church. 2. To affirm our mission of proclaiming the ministry of reconciliation to the lost (I Cor. 15:1-4 & II Cor. 5:17-21) and the dispensation of the grace of God to the saved (Rom. 16:25-27). 3. To restore our homes as the primary centers of godly education, edification and evangelism. The fact that we are called "ambassadors of Jesus Christ" by definition makes our homes---not a church building---the "embassy" of our King. (II Cor. 5:19-20) Although we believe the home is the scriptural place for believers to regularly meet, we are not proponents of the so-called “House Church Movement”, nor do we believe that concept to be biblically sound.
